I tried, really!

My friend Michelle and I talked about taking a girls trip awhile ago....and after some back and forth ideas...I suggested that we head to Banff for a few days of R&R. It was agreed that we needed R&R, then we threw shopping into the mix. Uh oh. An hour later we were heading to Vegas, with another friend (Laurie) from work, for 4 days, 3 nights of blissful shopping extravagence, food, drinks and a show. We leave on March 6 AM and come back, technically, at 2am on March 10. We all work together, at 7:30 that morning. So ummm, this will be my first real all nighter since highschool. Yeah, it's been awhile....

The consolation? We got a great great deal-$260 return (with tax) CDN. Laurie was there this past fall so she's arranging the hotel and we're all totally excited for the trip. We all have a child between 2-3. Yeah, so did I mention excited?

So I can justify it by using my trip to scope out awsome stagette stuff for Zoo's big stagette weekend in June. I've never appreciated my husband quite as much as I do now.

Be sure to go to freemont street in the evening. they have the light show from 8pm till midnite. it is awesome. they have bands playing on every block (it is a 3 block covered street) and lots of shops and casinos. So fun!! They have mile high margaritas - any flavor you want - yum !! Balagio hotel has the fountains - beautiful, beautiful. There is the eifel tower - go to the top and you can see ALL of vegas. Lots of great entertainment and lots of shopping. Oh and so much food. Buffets in just about every casino building. Your hotel should have a vegas tourist magazine that lists all entertainment, casinos, transit, shopping spots, all buffets and the prices, etc, etc. A great reference to have. Any questions about vegas, give me a call. Have fun !!

I am a mom and actress at the Groundlings Theater in Los Angeles (www.groundlings.com) ... and thought you, being a creative funny mom writer might get a kick out of this 3 minute movie I made about skinny jeans, post baby belly (I call it a "booty belly") and... SPANX! It's embarrassing but ..pretty funny. Please post or spread around if you like. Thanks! Ariane
