Relief, Peace and a HUGE Thank You

*Read post below first*

As the hours go on I am less and less comfortable with taking Cade to Jen*. When I get something in my head its generally pretty hard to change my mind. So we'll chat with her tomorrow but I don't have a good feeling. That said I told Tyler I would keep an open mind about it.

In the midst of this my wonderful cousin, yes the same one I mentioned below, happily agreed to take care of Cade. I'm not sure why I didn't seriously think of this before! I am so ridiculously happy, relieved, at peace and appreciative that I send her huge cyber hugs. I am NOT a trusting person and she is one of the only people I trust with Cade. She has a baby who is 7 months older than Cade and had a great blog until she shut it down :() plus the same philosopies as us. The only downside is that she lives about 45 mins from me, UGLY (which means it will take about 1.5-1.75 hours to get to work which is 3kms away). Good reason to move to SP though, which is currently in the running for this summer. All that said-I'll know more tomorrow but for now I can sleep easy knowing that everything is going to be ok, I won't be fired from the best company I've ever worked for, and my child will get the best care. Either way, Tyler and I are doing what we can to get me back home with Cade as soon as possible. Thats all I'm saying about that until something concrete is solidified and to ensure the privacy of a blogger who reads my ramblings.

Now for convincing Tyler that its ok to waste $900 on one months pay and a deposit for Jen. Update to follow tomorrow.

As a side note to Jen , since your never going to read this-LIKE I NEEDED THIS SHIT 8 DAYS BEFORE I GO BACK TO WORK!

And BTR (Can I still call you this?), I can't say thank you enough! Your the best!

I'm glad it all worked out! It sounds like your cousin is perfect for the job! And you can look on the bright side - better to find out that Jen wasn't all you thought now rather than some other way, after Cade was in her care.

thats so awesome that you found a trusting person to take care of cade. i know exactly how you feel about having a hard time trusting other people with something so precious to you. i hardly trust my own mother. long story...

i dont know what crawled up this jen lady, but if she really wants your $$$, you'de think she would treat you a bit more kindly and be a little clear on her childcare policies. being told what you were told, i wouldnt trust her with my laundry muchless my child.

go get a good night's rest knowing you can happily spend the next week with your son with out this cumbersome worry.

I'm sure that it is hard enough for you to think about going back to work and leaving Cade with a virtual stranger. I think it's actually a blessing that this Jen person showed her true colors before you left your precious boy there. It's so hard when they are too young to tell you what happened in their day when you were gone so you HAVE to have COMPLETE trust in the person you are leaving them with. I have trusted BTR with my own precious munchkins and would not hesitate to do it again so that is the biggest endorsement there is. Keep us updated.

BTR rocks! Why oh why did she stop blogging? I'm so happy that you have this worked out. Just make sure you have some good tunes to listen to for your commute :)

I am so glad you have figured out something that will give you peace of mind. The drive will be worth it if you are comfortable with the situation. My vote is against Jen and all that crap! ugh. So sorry this has been so stressful--I can't even imagine how worried you have been.

Thanks for your support ladies! It was SO helpful.I'm glad we saw Jen's* true colours before she took care of Cade. If she can have that attitude towards us I wouldn't want to see how she would treat my child. You guys are great!
